Our Story
River of Life Lutheran Church was born in 2025 from a simple desire—to see God’s Word proclaimed, and His love flow freely through the Pierre community. What began as small gatherings around tables and prayer, rooted in trust in God’s will, has grown into a vibrant and welcoming fellowship.
Our name reflects the promise of Scripture:
“Come to the water, all who thirst.” (Isaiah 55:1)
We believe God’s grace is not earned or rationed, but given freely in Jesus Christ—refreshing weary hearts and bringing new life through His Word and Sacraments.
To invite all who thirst to find life in Jesus Christ — through worship, prayer, community, and service.
Our Mission
Jesus said:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19)
Our mission is to invite all who thirst to find life in Jesus Christ—through worship, prayer, community, and service—so that the Gospel may be heard, received, and lived out in everyday life.
Our Vision
We believe God is actively at work in and through His Church.
Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors would encounter the living God—His grace, peace, and saving power—and be sent out to carry that life into their homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
Our Values
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone.” (Galatians 6:10)
“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
